A team of researchers from the Michigan Department of Community Health, Michigan State University, Wayne State University, and ACCESS (a Dearborn, MI, Arab community cultural, health and social services center) presented a report on their innovative survey effort to assess the health and health care access of the Arab/Chaldean adult population of Michigan.  The effort made use of an innovative sampling approach developed by Dr. Hembroff in cooperation with Dr. Kendra Schwartz of Wayne State University. The novel approach is very cost efficient and should be effective in other areas of the U.S. with Arab/Chaldean populations as well.  The report was presented at the annual meetings of the American Public Health Association in New Orleans, November 17, 2014.  A related presentation was given at the 7th International Conference on Health Issues in Arab Communities in Muscat, Oman, in March, 2015.
